The program is results driven and addresses a critical service gap that greatly impacts underserved women (parents) acting as a hub that has partnered with the Raytown School District, Raytown Police Department, and Raytown City Hall. It is also a conduit for businesses in the Raytown area.
The Dahomey Training Center offers women gender-focused support interventions, job readiness, and employment training while addressing obstacles in basic life areas including health/sobriety; criminal justice compliance; residency; employment, and social/civic connections while rejoining their families. This program is a critical component in reduction of violence and drug addiction by providing evidence-based drug and violence reduction and prevention services along with job skills and job training services for women who are ex-offenders coming from correctional settings and/or referred by the judicial system. Our goal is to help them to be successful with re-entry into society with long-term stability.
